In The Days Of The Caveman...

Zecharia Sitchin believes that the Nefilim created man out of pre-existing hominids. The first chapter of The 12th Planet provides basic information on the development of man, but he waits until later in the book to spell out his theory in detail.

- ZECHARIA SITCHIN - A BALANCED CRITIQUE
The British writer Alan F. Alford throws his hat into the ring and interprets Sitchin's works. This page is part of the official 'Alan Alford Home Page' hosted by his international publisher and distributor, Eridu Books, in partnership with ICOMM Technologies. It details points of agreement and disagreement between the two authors.
Although most astronomers have given up the ghost on Planet X, Sitchin acolyte Alford remains a believer in it. In a 1997 press release he described how on 25th September 1997 national newpapers in Britain carried headlines such as Cosmic Crash Made the Moon (Daily Mail). A team of scientists from the University of Colorado in Boulder reported the results of modelling experiments which proved that the Earth's moon was created in just one year from the debris of a gigantic inter-planetary collision. Scientists now believe that the Moon was formed from debris after a Massive Rogue Planet at least twice the size of Mars clipped the Earth 4.5 billion years ago.
Alford argues that the arrival of this wandering planet was not simply a one-time event but rather reoccurs regularly every 3600 years. The computer model thus confirms the cosmogony of the ancient Sumerians as represented by Sitchin.
Alford states that the wandering planet described by him is none other than Nibiru, and that modern astronomy is thus reaffirming the knowledge of the ancient Babylonians.

- Neil Freer
NEIL FREER is a researcher, writer, lecturer, and creator of philosophical "models" living in Santa Fe, NM. He is my favorite of the various authors of Sitchin pages on the web, and is the only one I know of who has actually worked with Sitchin. This site presents some of the ideas which he describes more fully in his books Breaking the Godspell and God Games. Be forewarned, Freer's research on this page is presented at a very advanced technical level and requires several readings to understand.

The Return of the Anunnaki. A review by Willard Van De Bogart which describes his belief that Nibiru is the 12th planet (counting the Sun and Moon) in our local solar system, and is due to cross the orbits of Earth and Mars in the very near future. Bogart adopts a simpler writing style than does Freer and is closer to being an orthodox believer in Sitchin's system.

The Arrival of the Others. An enthusiastic review by Willard Van De Bogart of Sitchin's seventh book Divine Encounters. Mr. Van De Bogart begins his review by asking "There is one small request I have before I make any comments about this book: go buy this book immediately..."

- Martin Stower's Site Criticizing Sitchin's Views on the Pyramids
This page recently returned to the web after its author, a former reseach assistant at Sheffield in the UK, lost his space on that college's server. It is one of the best Sitchin critiques, although it limits itself to making the case that Sitchin's views on the supposed forgery of quarry marks may be off-base.
Stower really takes Zecharia to task here. Basically he reams the Israeli-American researcher a new entrance to the pyramid. But I would ask Zecharia not to get too upset. Everyone makes mistakes, and many Sitchin fans love his books for their mythical rather than their scientific content.
Stower says that above the so-called King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid is a series of five compartments. Their function seems to be to protect the roof of the King's Chamber from the pressure exerted by the overlying core masonry. Stones taken from that portion of the Great Pyramid contain quarry marks written in hieroglyphics. Because such marks would undermine the view that the pyramids were built by aliens, Sitchin argues in The Stairway to Heaven that the marks are forgeries. Stower presents a convincing case that the marks are real and were put there by real ancient Egyptians.
